ABOUT
I am a Junior at the University of Mississippi, and I'm a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, Talbert Fellowship, Lott Student Advisory Board, Daily Mississippian and Delta Psi Fraternity.

EXPERIENCE
Since 2021, I have worked various internships that have contributed to my knowledge in Journalism and Technology. In 2021, I had the honor of working as an intern for Madison Central's AMC. I have worked over 140 hours with TrustCare, MC Big Blue, and Madison County School District. I've gotten to learn how to handle technology and sharpen my communication skills by working in customer service at TrustCare, I've enhanced my filmography and editing skills by filming sports events at MC Big Blue, and I've learned interviewing and interpersonal skills while creating educational videos for new coming parents of elementary schools in Madison. Through working with the Daily Mississippian, I've improved my writing skills, and I was ranked as the number 5 opinion writer by the Southeastern Journalism Conference. In 2023, I interned as a product development intern for Edgetheory where I constructed Artificial Intelligence data bases for clients. Overall, I've had a fantastic experience interning, and I have learned skills that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
HIGH SCHOOL JOURNALISM
The sections below contain all of the content I helped generate for Madison Central High School. In High school, I was one of MSPA's "All-Mississippi Student Journalists." I was also assistant producer of the award winning high school broadcast team JNN.
COLLEGE JOURNALISM
The Daily Mississippian
I have had the pleasure of writing Opinion Editorial articles for the Daily Mississippian for two years. Below, I've linked my various articles covering topics such as the Mississippi TANF scandal, Legal Deserts, and Mississippi Economic Development plans.
PUBLIC POLICY
I have had a passion for politics since a young age. Previously, I worked as a page for Lt. Governor Tate Reeves, and as a runner for the law firm run by former Mississippi State Representative Jay Hughes. In college, I have furthered my interest by pursuing a bachelors in Public Policy Leadership with the Trent Lott Leadership Institute. There I am currently working as a student worker and Outreach Chair of the Lott Student Advisory Board. I am excited to announce that in July 2024, I will be working as a research intern for the highly successful lobbying firm Crossroads Strategies in Washington D.C.
